Day Trips/What's On

Around Giardinetto

The Villetta is situated on the lower slopes of the Lima valley at an altitude of 300 metres a.s.l. Around us, the neighbouring mountains reach 700 metres and then quickly climb to between 1500 and 2000 metres

There is an abundance of interesting mountain and riverside villages to explore either on foot/cycle or car; many with a friendly bar/pizzeria or restaurant at generally much lower prices than the large cities. There is a bar/pizzeria, and grocery/bakery store a short walk from the house, and a regionally acclaimed restaurant nearby, renowned for its home made cuisine.

Many cycling clubs use the road through the valley and the area is extremely popular for walking and enjoying the river and mountain scenery.

From the nearby villages of Limano and Vico Pancellorum there are waymarked trails that go far into the Apennine Mountains

Fishing and horse riding are available locally, or simply relax and picnic by the river which runs 250 metres away.

Advertised locally, particularly in the summer months, are numerous festas and sagras which are tremendous opportunities to join in with the locals and just celebrate !!
